Danger of AI(Artificial intelligence) for job seekers |2023

Artificial intelligence (AI) is intelligenceโ€”perceiving, synthesizing, and inferring informationโ€”demonstrated by machines, as opposed to intelligence displayed by humans or by other animals. Example tasks in which this is done include speech recognition, computer vision, translation between (natural) languages, as well as other mappings of inputs.

Overview of AI

Alan Turing wrote in 1950 “I propose to consider the question ‘can machines think’?. He advised changing the question from whether a machine “thinks”, to “whether or not it is possible for machinery to show intelligent behaviour” . He devised the Turing test, which measures the ability of a machine to simulate human conversation. Since we can only observe the behavior of the machine, it does not matter if it is “actually” thinking or literally has a “mind”. Turing notes that we can not determine these things about other people but “it is usual to have a polite convention that everyone thinks.

The general problem of simulating (or creating) intelligence has been broken down into sub-problems. These consist of particular traits or capabilities that researchers expect an intelligent system to display. The traits described below have received the most attention.

Types of artificial intelligence

we can classify artificial intelligence into 4 distinct types. The types are loosely similar to Maslovโ€™s hierarchy of needs, where the simplest level only requires basic functioning and the most advanced level is the Mohammad, Buddha, Christian Saint, all-knowing, all-seeing, self-aware consciousness.

The four Artificial intelligence types are-

  1. Reactive Machines
  2. Limited Memory
  3. Theory of Mind
  4. Self Aware

Danger of Artificial intelligence

Unemployment

Asย AI robotsย become smarter and more dexterous, the same tasks will require fewer humans. And while itโ€™s true that AI will createย 97 million new jobs by 2025, many employees wonโ€™t have the skills needed for these technical roles and could get left behind if companies donโ€™tย upskill their workforces.

โ€œIf youโ€™re flipping burgers at McDonaldโ€™s and more automation comes in, is one of these new jobs going to be a good match for you?โ€ Ford said. โ€œOr is it likely that the new job requires lots of education or training or maybe even intrinsic talents โ€” really strong interpersonal skills or creativity โ€” that you might not have? Because those are the things that, at least so far, computers are not very good at.โ€

SURVEILLANCE WITH TECHNOLOGY

In addition to its more existential threat, Ford is focused on the way AI will adversely affect privacy and security. A prime example is Chinaโ€™s use of facial recognition technology in offices, schools and other venues. Besides tracking a personโ€™s movements, the Chinese government may be able to gather enough data to monitor a personโ€™s activities, relationships and political views.

Another example is U.S. police departments embracingย predictive policing algorithmsย to anticipate where crimes will occur. The problem is that these algorithms are influenced by arrest rates, whichย disproportionately impact Black communities. Police departments then double down on these communities, leading to over-policing and questions over whether self-proclaimed democracies can resist turning AI into an authoritarian weapon.

WEAPONS POWERED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Autonomous weapon systems, as the ICRC understands them, are any weapons that select and apply force to targets without human intervention.

A person activates an autonomous weapon, but they do not know specifically who or what it will strike, nor precisely where and/or when that strike will occur.

This is because an autonomous weapon is triggered by sensors and software, which match what the sensors detect in the environment against a ‘target profile’.

these are the danger of ai which will be bad for us if you have more ideas about the dangers of artificial intelligence please share with people my article off course ,and do you think that ai is more dangerous than politicians if yes then what about these rich people ,actual problem are these people so use your mind instead of social media

thank you for reading my article ,keep reading happy reading!
